NES welcomes you to the society’s new website which has been developed by the NES Board during the Icelandic Presidency, in cooperation with technical expertise in Norway. The new website now takes over from the two previous webs we have had since 2004, which is both the old website and NES Forum Network.
It is our hope that the new web will serve you well with all information you might need and be the link between the five national ergonomics societies which constitutes the Nordic Ergonomics Society – NES. The website will in coming years also be used as a link to the NES conferences.
As you may have noticed the website is in English. There are two reasons for this. The most important one is that in the coming future we need to use English to build the bridges between the five Nordic societies, as both in Finland and Iceland it is becoming more and more uncommon that people speak Nordic languages. The second important reason for using English is to be able to communicate with the rest of the IEA-family and others interested in ergonomics around the world!
